Expansion To New Premises

Solid Auto has relocated to a 43-acre business park in the West Midlands. The new, purpose built warehouse and offices are more then double the size of the previous premises and the site is ideally located in the heart of the Midlands, making it easily accessible  to the national transport infrastructure.

The 17,000sqft purpose-built warehouse and offices are part of a design-build project and is the core of future plans for Solid Auto.

As potentially the biggest step Solid Auto has taken in the last 20 years, the relocation is extremely important and will satisfy our requirements for considerable expansion. It will provide crucial extra warehouse space to hold substantially higher and more varied stock, as well as further office space for all areas of the business. It will also provide the opportunity to update our computer network, warehouse operations and recruit further staff in the future to cover expanding areas of the business such as Sales and Technical Support.

Established in 1983, Solid Auto (UK) Ltd has been supplying the aftermarket with components for Japanese vehicles for more than 20 years.

The company's strength as a 'specialist' is enhanced by its knowledgeable staff, who have amassed many years of service and experience and finely honed the commercial and technical skills necessary to provide a winning formula.

Operation as a specialist importer, Solid Auto prides itself on its unique catalogue style which is designed to be user friendly and of course researched in depth so that accuracy can be replied upon. A 'specialist' is judged by its range depth and in particular the ability to stock parts for vehicles sold in small volume. Solid Auto holds vast stocks of components for passenger, 4x4 and light commercials as well as the fringe models for Japanese / European derivatives such as Mazda 121 / Ford Fiesta. In addition to the components listed in our catalogue, we also stock more than 3,000 parts suitable for 'none UK' applications.

Another feature of a specialist, is being able to provide in-depth technical expertise and advise drawn from on-going query resolution, together with product research and development. Our Technical Team are on hand via the Technical Helpline to answer queries and offer advise on product and applications.

Motor Factors:  Independent Motor Factors make up the majority of Solid's main customer base.
